Job Description

My client is a very well established business who are experiencing excellent growth

Due to this they are currently recruiting for a support member to join the team

Duties and skills follow;


Account Manager - Salary c£25,000 excellent benefits and salary+bonus; Career progression


You must have excellent communication skills, you will be organised, efficient and willing to learn

You will work well under pressure and be a team player

Able to communicate at all levels of professionals


Print and post invoices, including calculation of currency clauses


File completed orders


Raise purchase orders for Germany and other suppliers


Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding lead times and delivery dates


Liaise with delivery agents


Produce daily sales valuation and customer quote reports


Take orders by phone, fax and email


Enter orders onto the AX system, raise PO to Germany and check and send deliver confirmation to customers


Prepare quotations, add comments to notes of AX. Make Lotus Notes CRM entry and attach quotation.


Send link to ISM / Outside sales as appropriate. Add to quote log. After discussion with external sales some quotations will need to be followed up, then comments entered onto CRM.


Complete New Account forms and pass to Accounts


Process credit card payments


Liaise with customers regarding delivery schedules, minimum order quantities, samples and project pricing


Ensure goods are dispatched within the quoted delivery time frame


Liaise with customers regarding incorrect pricing / incorrect orders / returns when required


Assist customers with general enquiries and specific queries


Liaise with customers regarding payments


Liaise with other departments regarding lab builds, accounts, quotes, dispatch etc


Work together / support dedicated external sales person


Build relationships with customers and potential new customers and develop knowledge of their industry and projects


Proactive research using social media (Linkedin), web pages, directories


Work closely with general managament and inside sales team to create lead generation programs / events specific to all SBF.


Support the Tracking and Managing of all New Business Opportunities and contribute prtoactively to develop them to the point of closure cost-effectively.


Use customer online portals where required


General housekeeping on Lotus Notes CRM and Microsoft Dynamics AX


General clerical / administrative duties / filing


Make appointments for sales engineers /cold calling


Prepare and potentially present a Power Point presentations on enquiries, proactive follow up, cold calling , new accounts


holiday cover for purchasing


Any other duties which may reasonably be requested
